Never much cared for the rifle itself, but I do have a soft spot for the AMT Automag III chambered in .30 Carbine.

Despite what Hackathorn says about reliability with old springs and the like, I took a couple of my old GI M1 Carbines to a Carbine match at the Talladega CMP range, and my son and I fired the whole match with no problems. My kid fired an old Blue Sky import gun that came in from Korea many years ago (I think I gave $165 for it at the time), and I had an old Inland with a shot out bore that didn’t want to zero as it shot so wide to the left. I just dialed in a little Kentucky windage and stayed on target for the match.
Both guns look like crap but they went bang every time you pulled the trigger.

It’s actually pretty reasonable recoil, between the heavy (nearly 3 lbs empty!)
gun and the relatively light 110gr bullet of the .30 carbine cartridge
. A
real crowd pleaser at dusk, HUGE muzzle flash.

Neat! To be honest didn't know that existed and I kinda want one after that last comment.

This is cool. Despite his status as a respected and highly sought after trainer (one of the best in the world), its still cool to see him posted on O ppo as he is from my area and for some reason I don’t think about him being on Youtube . My dad has met him once and we know many people who have received first hand training f ro m him and are friends with him. Dude is a legend in these parts. Knowing all the old law enforcement guys , I’ ve heard storie s about him f ro m the guys who were actually there.
